HarmoniKiss is a patent-pending musical instrument designed for shared music-making.

The invention is based on a unique tuning arrangement for a double-sided harmonica that enables two people to play together harmoniously.

 

The Innovation

Double-sided harmonicas have existed for more than a century. Traditionally, they were designed for a single player, allowing the musician to switch between different keys or scales.

The innovation behind HarmoniKiss is not the double-sided form of the instrument, but its original tuning system.

The tuning was specifically developed for simultaneous play by two participants. By combining complementary note layouts on opposite sides of the instrument, HarmoniKiss enables a shared musical experience that supports harmony, interaction, listening, and coordination.

 

Inventors

HarmoniKiss was created by Avner Miryam Amit and Keren Ben Altabet.

The concept emerged from their exploration of creative collaboration through poetry, movement, sound, and shared breathing practices.

A patent application has been filed relating to the instrument's unique tuning configuration that enables harmonious duet playing on a double-sided harmonica.
